    Antitrust | Adjustment of Italian merger control’s thresholds


    The Italian Antitrust Authority has published today the yearly resolution on adjustment, based on annual increases of GDP deflator index, of the national merger control turnover thresholds. 

     

    Based on Italian antitrust law, a prior notification to the Italian Antitrust Authority of a concentration is now due if:

     

    • the combined aggregate turnover in Italy of all the undertakings concerned exceeds EUR 504 million;

     

    and

     

    • the aggregate domestic turnover of at least two of the undertakings concerned individually exceeds EUR 31 million.

     

    The new thresholds apply as of today, 23 March 2020.
