Pierluigi Dodaro

Pierluigi is backed by a solid education and expertise in all fields of industrial property and copyright law, as well as in media, information and IT law and, more generally, in the field of civil law. covering both disputes resolution and extrajudicial advisory. 

Pierluigi provides in and out of Court legal assistance to national and international clients in disputes involving plagiarism (films, works of art and musical works), unfair competition and parallel importing activities, defamation, protection and infringement of trademarks, patents, designs, domain names, trade secrets and software and, last but not least, in matters related to the payment, collection and distribution of private copy levy. He also deals with civil law issues and disputes.

Furthermore, Pierluigi provides daily legal advice and agreement negotiation activities for the licensing and assignment of exploitation rights on patents, software and other intellectual property assets; trademark use and coexistence; product placement; R&D projects.

Pierluigi has enhanced his professional career with constant scientific and research activities. After graduating in 2017, he took part in several collaborations and projects with the chairs of private law and sports law at the University of Roma Tre (being appointed Honorary Fellow), and he also contributed to several specialized publications.   

Pierluigi also demonstrates a natural inclination towards the international environment, as evidenced by multiple experiences abroad, both in an academic capacity (at the Cardozo Law School in New York in 2016) and in a professional capacity (having undertaken a secondment at the Monaco office of the German law firm ADVANT BEITEN in 2023).
