Francesco Fidel Camera advises national and multinational companies and groups of companies in the areas of data protection, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data economy, digital services, and corporate compliance.
In particular, he assists, on an ongoing basis, industry groups and cybersecurity service providers in data protection compliance activities and supports providers and deployers of artificial intelligence systems in defining complex AI Act compliance projects. It also provides data breach response management services to cyber policy underwriters and performs digital-compliance-related due diligence activities in the context of structured extraordinary transactions.
In the area of corporate compliance, he has assisted several groups of companies in preparing and implementing organization, management and control models, in conducting internal investigations, and in designing and managing whistleblowing systems.
It also provides regulatory advice to pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers, especially within the conduct of promotional activities and clinical trials.
During his academic career, which concluded with a cum laude degree from Trento University, he specialized in the regulation and governanceof new technologies in the European regulatory framework and participated in study and research programs abroad at the Universidade Nova in Lisbon and Tallinn University of Technology.
He has participated in two secondment programs: one at the holding company of a well-known group of companies operating in the fashion industry, during which he gained significant experience in the application of regulations on antibribery and trade controls, as well as compliance with Legislative Decree No. 231/2001; and the other at a leading company in the automotive sector, during which he assisted the Global Compliance function in the activities of updating and implementing relevant data protection documentation and in the fulfillments resulting from a data breach that involved the entire group on a global scale.
He is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
