Riccardo Sallustio deals with banking and finance. His expertise includes leverage finance, debt restructuring, private placements and bond issues, green and sustainable finance and real estate finance.
Riccardo regularly advises lenders, financial sponsors, private debt and distressed-funds in wide range of lending and bond transactions (both cross-border and domestic). He also acts for investors in the structuring and execution of acquisitions of single name NPLs and UTPs, debt-to-own and debt restructurings also in the context of distressed M&A transactions related to industrial and real estate assets.
Riccardo has also a strong expertise in green and sustainable finance, where he advises clients on ESG and transition due diligence aspects and methodologies, green and sustainable financial and banking products (under international standards as well as aligned with the EU Taxonomy) and on social and governance best practices. He has contributed to the drafting, for The Chancery Lane Project (TCLP), of standard clauses of sustainability-linked loans and of standard object clauses for companies committed to the achievement of Net Zero targets. He also contributed to the drafting of the standard Italian law governed Private Placement documentation for the Loan Market Association (LMA).
He has been Adjunct Professor (Professore a contratto) of Green and Sustainable Finance at the Graduate School of LUISS ‘Guido Carli’, Rome since 2021. Riccardo is also member of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (Venice) and Academic Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (Brussels).
