Until now, the practices of banks and financial players have not followed common patterns on cybersecurity, and while generally good, there are no real standards to protect the a sector that is highly susceptible to attacks by criminals. As of this January, that changes: the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) regulation, the legislation that imposes uniform European-wide rules to ensure cyber resilience of financial entities, becomes binding.
