Angelo Anglani is an experienced dispute resolution lawyer, with a particular focus on cross border litigation and international arbitration. His practice ranges from general commercial litigation to securities litigation, mass and class actions, construction, oil & gas, energy and environment, unfair competition, product liability, and, more generally, in contentious or pre-litigation matters arising from M&A and commercial contracts in general, also with respect to any insolvency related aspects
Frequently involved in recognition and enforcement matters in Italy and abroad. He is very active in international and domestic arbitration, whether under the rules of ICC and other arbitral institutions, under ad-hoc rules, or in the context of court challenges of arbitration awards. Frequently appointed as arbitrator in international arbitration proceedings.
He frequently acted as expert on Italian law in legal proceedings pending before foreign courts, preparing affidavit and/or expert reports on aspects of Italian law applicable to the relevant disputes. He also repeatedly assisted, as a counsel, foreign clients in mediation procedures held in Italy.
Angelo Anglani is a member of: IBA - International Bar Association (Past Chair and member of the Advisory Board in the Litigation Committee, Officer of the “Future of Legal Services” Commission and member of the Arbitration and Mediation committees); A.I.A.- Associazione Italiana Arbitrato (member of the board); ArbIt – the Italian Forum for Arbitration and ADR (co-founder and past chair); AIGE – Associazione Italiana Giuristi Europei. Member of the appointing authority of ASEAC – Asian European Arbitration Center.
Author of publications and articles in his own fields of expertise, he regularly participates as a speaker or moderator at conferences and seminars, often at international level. Lectures on litigation, arbitration and other means of dispute resolution, in the context of post-graduate specialisation courses.
