Valeria Ciervo is an expert of administrative law, public law, environmental law, and energy law as well as public contract law.
For more than 10 years, she has been a litigator before the higher courts and has also developed expertise in both extrajudicial (advising on energy, waste management, environmental protection and public contracts) and judicial (administrative and civil courts) matters, assisting major business groups and advising public companies, entities and bodies under public law.
Since 2013, she has been a consultant to the Head of Unit at the Administrative Technical Unit (UTA), a structure of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
Since 2023, she is a Member of the Interministerial Commission established to review the Environmental Code (Legislative Decree 152/2006) between the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security and the Ministry of Institutional Reform and Regulatory Simplification.
Since 2021 she has been a member of the EIA-SIA Commission established at the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE).
In 2018, she held the position of Legal Expert in Administrative Law and Environ- mental Law at the Cabinet Office of the Minister of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea, and in 2019, she was a member of the Study Commission for the unbureaucratisation of proceedings in environmental matters established at the same Ministry.
She holds the position of component of the FIGC National Federal Court and com- ponent of the Federal Court of Appeal at the Italian Basketball Federation.
Over the years, she has also carried out scholarly activities, through the publication of numerous articles and contributions.
She still collaborates with the Mercatorum University, (Faculty of Economics) with a contract lecturer in environmental law.
In 2012, she was awarded a PhD in Environmental Law and Economics from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata"- Faculty of Economics.
